Emergia USA Launch event in Washington DC.

Miami, Florida, May 21, 2001. Emergia celebrated its network launch in the United States on May 16, 2001 at the Ronald Reagan Convention Center in Washington DC, coinciding with the Global Traffic Meeting (GTM). The event was held to celebrate the completion of the Emergia fiber optic network that connects the United States with Latin America.

José Manuel Muñoz, Emergia's COO and Henricus Cox, Executive Vice President, gave a warm welcome to the 2000+ attendees and thanked them all for assisting the event. Executives from major telecommunications companies in the world attended the event.

Emergia's high capacity network, which has been in service and completely operational since March, offers connection at the speed of light and a self-healing ring. Emergia provides services to telecommunications companies and Internet service providers through its open network model with unrestricted accessibility.
