Presence of Telefonica at the CompTel 2002 Spring Business and Trade Exposition.

Miami, March 2002.- Telefonica had a strong presence at the CompTel 2002 conference that took place on March 3-6 in Miami, Florida. The Telefonica Group, the leading telecommunications operator in Spanish and Portuguese speaking countries, introduced a new organization named Telefonica International Wholesale Services at this event. The new organization offers international carriers access to a competitive portfolio of wholesale services including voice, data and capacity along with its supporting network.

Comptel is the leading association representing competitive telecommunications companies in virtually every sector of the marketplace: incumbent local exchange carriers, competitive local exchange carriers, long-distance carriers of every size, wireless service providers, Internet service providers, equipment manufacturers, and software suppliers.

Various representatives from Telefonica International Wholesale Services were present at the booth answering all inquiries from conference attendees.
